Chapter 29. Begone

Fear had reduced the girls to a state of paralyzed silliness, their eyes wide with terror. Even the normally composed Miss Diamond Johnson recoiled, her retreat halted only when her back made contact with the coarse, unforgiving wall.

I didn't dwell on it, I stared intently at two of the traitors beside the platoon commander, two seconds later their heads exploded, their headless bodies slumped on the cold floor while blood and mucus splattered on the floor and on the walls behind them.
