Chapter 165

Jason's eyes fluttered open when the sun's rays hit his eyes. He tried to sit up but the sharp pain on his arm caused him to fall back on the bed with a loud groan. He kept his eyes open as he tried to remember where he was. He looked at his hand and there was an intravenous infusion attached to it. The site of his injury had already been cleaned up and bandaged properly so that the pain was not as gruesome as he felt before. He was still trying to figure out where he was when the door opened and Jasmine walked in with someone.

"You are finally awake," she said, hands akimbo. "How long has it been?" He asked her. "Two days, but the doctor has removed the bullet and you are fine now," she answered him. Jason's eyes widened in shock on hearing that he had been lying in the bed for two days. He quickly fumbled around for his phone in his pocket until he realized that he was not in the same clothes as he wore the night of the shootout.
