The sound of footsteps approaching rang in the passageway leading to the room where Penber and Klein were currently hiding.

Penber's heart beat faster and faster as the footsteps drew closer. His body was shivering with fear, terrified of what would happen if they didn't succeed in leaving in time. The situation was growing more intense with every second.

The glass of wine in his hands shook violently; if it were filled to the top, some of its contents would have spewed onto the ground. He could barely keep his grip steady, the fear causing his hands to tremble uncontrollably.

On the other hand, Klein kept drinking from his wine without a single look of doubt or fear in his eyes. He seemed completely unbothered by the approaching threat, his calm demeanor starkly contrasting Penber's panic. His steady hand and composed face showed no signs of worry.

"You should calm down. If you keep shivering like this, they'll suspect you are up to something," Klein said while shaking his head pit
