He struggled to his feet, his body aching all over. The Bloodcrest brother watched him with a cruel smile. "Still want more, kid? Fine. Let's finish this."

He raised both hands, summoning a large dark ball of energy. Charles braced himself, knowing he couldn't dodge this time. The ball of energy flew towards him, and he closed his eyes, waiting for the impact.

BANG!

Walker fired a shot that hit the dark ball, causing it to explode in mid-air. The shockwave knocked Charles off his feet and sent him tumbling across the ground. He lay there, dazed and disoriented.

"Get up, Charles and leave immediately, you will die at this rate" Walker's voice cut through the haze.

But Charles didn’t listen.

"You think you can defy me? You're a fool," the Bloodcrest brother hissed.

Charles tried to raise his fists, but they felt like lead. He knew he couldn't win, but he had to keep fighting. He had to buy Walker and his family more time.
