Linnie waited for the person she had called earlier at the private lounge that she had paid for. It was not to 8pm yet, and the person might not arrive in the next thirty minutes, but Linnie intentionally left the house early enough because she just wanted time to herself to relax before the main time.

While she did, she turned on her mobile data and watched the business interview that Luther was supposed to be attending with Abby that he got dropped and Laxus was selected in his place.

Linnie had mixed feelings about it. First of all, she was happy, because she knew that her husband, Luther, had his eyes on Abby, the same woman that Linnie hated with passion. Abby Golden literally had everything that Linnie wanted in life. If Linnie could switch roles and be a young, successful, influential, and powerful female CEO of one of the most successful companies in the country, she would not even need a man. Laxus fell on his bed, exhausted like never before. He had no idea that business interviews were that draining, but he was glad that it was over now.The interviewer had tried to steer towards personal angles, but Laxus was smart enough to answer with vague answers, unlike Abby who conveniently answered most of them directly as though she was expecting the questions. It was obvious that she was confident about herself and very intelligent, and downright audacious, and any other man might have liked her, but certainly not Laxus.Even before the interview, he wasn’t attracted to Abby; Laxus had locked her heart towards that aspect of life forever, but even hanging out, or almost hanging out had made him like her less. Laxus could not even shake off how she had treated that receptionist who was nothing but nice and receptive. Today, Laxus had done his very best to avoid her, but Abby kept clinging to him, so when the interview was over, while Abby’s stylist had been doing a light touch o

  • Rise Of The Rightful Heir   The Difference Is Clear

Linnie drove home with mixed emotions with her conversation with Bridget. The moment Laxus launched his company, Linnie was smart enough to know that he would be in need of staff, and more importantly, he would be in need of a secretary or personal assistant. While Darwin and Luther had been fuming and pacing, Linnie had been thinking strategically.“Now that Laxus has come out to limelight, I need to know exactly what is going on. The last time I visited his rented apartment, it was wretched and poorly furnished, so there is no way Laxus could have amounted to that out of the blues. I also know that he worked at small restaurant, making and selling hamburgers, and given the state of Laxus’s company, he would never have been able to save such money even in the next hundred years, so there is definitely something going on in Laxus’s life, and I need to know what it is. I need to know who Laxus’s sponsor is,” Linnie had thought deep and hard. There had to be someone in the shadows helpi

I want the entire world to know the truth,” Jeff repeated sternly.Nessy straightened up and she decided to play the game that she had been playing way before now, because unlike Mrs. Linnie Kinkaid who had been fishing for information for a while now, no one had any real evidence that would tie her to the crime. For crying out loud, Gary had been buried, and Nessy thought that her nightmare was over until Jeff’s call.“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Nessy denied.Jeff laughed sinisterly. “Listen, I did not call you here for you to deny things, because I knew that you did it,” Jeff said. As Nessy left the bar, she became more devastated. This issue was getting more complicated as time went on, especially when she thought that it was over. If someone like Mrs. Linnie Kinkaid got a hang of it, she would not only be joyous; she would also not hesitate a second to use it against Laxus. Not that Nessy had anything for Laxus, contrary to what everyone thought or insinuated, and not that she also held a grudge against him for not remembering her now that he was famous and popular, and even though people might feel like she should use that to bring him down, Nessy could not do that. She just wasn’t that kind of person.First of all, Laxus never touched Gary.
