Chapter 93: The Slap

William stared at his grandmother with a confused look on his face. He couldn't tell why his grandma suddenly became angry and slapped him.

They were so good earlier that they even hugged. But why did she slap him? He asked himself but he couldn't get an answer to it.

He stroked his chin calmly with a cold look on his face as he turned to his Grandmother, patiently waiting for her to explain why she slapped him.

“Why did she slap him?”

“Weren't they on good terms earlier?”

“What has he done to deserve such a deafening slap?”

“I thought he was grandma's favorite. Maybe no one is above being scolded by her.”

They discussed silently among themselves, with sarcasm dripping from their voices.

They were unaware that he could hear them. He clenched his fist with an angry look and bit on his lower lips till he almost bled.

“That's because you deserve me,” she said in a cold tone and he swallowed hard.

“But I did nothing wrong,” he complained and she scoffed.
