Derek remained silent, he had chosen a ball pen, not because of how small, but the significance.

The ball pen signified constant flow of thought, which means he wished Mr Reid long life in the business world.

However, all others were quite dumb to see through his reasons.

Having said her piece, Brenda turned to take her leave, not giving her husband any time to explain himself.

Derek and Brenda’s departure didn’t cause much of an uproar to the party.
