Evelyn nodded, feeling a bit relieved that her son had a chance. She then asked, "What about relationships?”

Cordelia shook her head and explained, "I remember when I was in Senior High, I liked someone, but that was all. It all stopped at once. I stopped liking the guy and didn't bother making him aware. Since then, I've never been in a relationship. I really don't want to be in one. I just want to live my peaceful life alone forever."

Evelyn shook her head and advised, "My dear, you aren't a kid. You must create a family sometime. If I may ask, how old are you?"

"I'm 27, aunt," Cordelia replied.

"Oh, my son is 24, meaning you're three years older than him. Even if so, you both are a good match," Evelyn remarked.

Benjamin was stunned hearing his mom say it straightforward. He raised his head and took a look at Benjamin.

Cordelia raised her head, glancing at Benjamin before looking away and shaking her head, saying,

Cordelia took slow steps forward, her knees eventually giving in as she knelt before the graves. She placed the flowers carefully atop the polished stone, brushing her fingertips over her parents’ names. Her voice cracked, fragile… but filled with so much love.“Mom… Dad… your daughter is back again,” she whispered. She sniffed, breath shaking, wiping her tears only for more to fall.“I’m sorry I stopped visiting a while. I tried to be strong, just like you taught me. But everything became so hard. The home you built… the family you loved… turned against me.”Her shoulders trembled as she lowered her head.“I felt lost. I felt alone. And there were days I wondered if you were watching… if you were upset with me. But deep down, I knew you would never abandon me.”She placed both palms gently on the stone.“I missed you every single day. I still do. And even though you’re not here physically, I carry your love in everything I do.”Cordelia turned her head slightly, glancing at Benjamin

After a long, tense drive, the convoy finally slowed as the gates of the Winslow private graveyard opened. The path inside was quiet — too quiet — with tall cypress trees lining the sides, their shadows cast over the gravestones beneath the moonlight. The cars came to a complete stop. Doors opened simultaneously, Rakshasha’s men stepping out first, scanning the area before signaling the families to exit.Cordelia’s heartbeat quickened.Benjamin gently took her hand as they walked toward the two main graves placed side by side on a raised stone platform. But the moment they reached them…Cordelia froze. The graves — the resting place of her parents — were covered in thick dust. The marble had lost its shine. The flowers were wilted, brown and shriveled as if they had been left there for months without a soul caring enough to replace them.Benjamin’s expression darkened. He turned slowly — eyes burning — and fixed his glare on Marshall Winslow. His voice was low, laced with cold fury.“

The crowd stared in stunned silence for a moment… but Benjamin’s confident demand rang like a command.Clap for your new king and queen. One by one, hesitant palms began to come together. Polite claps turned to steady applause… then into a thunderous ovation. Even those who despised him clapped — because fear gripped their souls tighter than pride ever could.Benjamin’s satisfied smile widened as he turned his gaze to the bodies on the floor.“By the way, Jacob,” he said casually, as if discussing weather, “don’t worry — I didn’t kill your men. The only one I killed was the one who idiotically made a move at me.” He pointed with his fork. “The rest? Shot with bullets filled with tranquilizer. Strong stuff. They’ll sleep for about fifteen hours.”He gave a light shrug. “So relax.”Jacob clenched his fists, veins bulging, fury boiling in his eyes — yet he couldn’t utter a word.Benjamin cleared his throat and raised his voice cheerfully.“So now… please, can the food and drinks be share

Benjamin then smiled faintly, his thumb brushing Cordelia’s cheek. “How about you and I get married right here, today?” he asked softly, yet loud enough for everyone to hear. “And later… we’ll hold our main wedding properly. Do you love that idea?”Cordelia stared at him with wide eyes, disbelief and hope swirling through her heart. “Really?” she breathed out, her voice trembling slightly.Benjamin nodded confidently. “Yes. Of course.”Cordelia swallowed hard, then nodded with a small smile and whispered, “I’ll marry you then.”A collective gasp swept through the guests.Benjamin turned toward the pastor. “You’ll officiate us. Now,” he said calmly. Then he looked around. “Where are the rings?”Someone pointed toward the table where Raymond and Cordelia’s wedding rings had been placed earlier.Raymond suddenly stormed down from the stage, fury boiling in his blood. “If you want to marry her,” he snapped, “why don't you go set up your own place? Are you too poor to afford a wedding for

  • Chapter 478: Marshall’s Tape

Benjamin nodded, eyes softening as he cupped her cheeks gently. “It’s me, my love. It’s me, Madam Cordelia…” he whispered. “Your Elysian student.” That was all it took. Cordelia’s emotions burst like a storm. Tears poured down her cheeks as her fists began striking his chest and arms. “Where did you go?!” she cried. “Why did you leave me alone?! Did you go to another woman?! You don’t love me anymore!” Her hits were weak — fueled by pain, not anger. Benjamin didn’t flinch. He wrapped her in a deeper, firmer embrace, holding her as if he feared losing her again. He lifted her face delicately, brushing tears with his thumb. Then he pulled her into a deep, passionate kiss — one that silenced her sobs and shook her entire body with longing. He broke the kiss only to speak close to her lips: “I didn’t go to see any woman. I had one mission… and now I’m back. Forever — only with you.” He hugged her tight again, shielding her from every eye around them. But Marshall stood
