"Is this a dream or what am I seeing here?" the woman who supported Raymond before said, shocked. "Is he dead already?"
She removed her glasses and put them on again.
"I told you not to judge the books by their cover. Now, this is the result," a man said, looking at Raymond with a pitiful face.
"Hmmm... Before they even started fighting, Raymond was busy talking about the number of people he had killed in the underground stages. So, he can't even beat the other guy," a young lady said.
"But how did he knock Raymond down? Did you see it?" a man asked his wife.
The wife responded, "I don't know how. I closed my eyes when Raymond rushed at him. I didn't expect this to be the result."
"I thought he was going to beg for his life after a minute or half a minute. But he's just standing calm, putting his hands in his pocket. I'm very amazed," a lady said.
Then a young boy who had been supporting Ethan pinched his father's hand and said, "Didn't I tell you that Raymond is going to lose to the other guy? Dad, I want to be a superhero and defeat those who look down on me."
His father covered his mouth and whispered in his ear, "Don't say anything. Just keep watching what's going on."
A woman wearing a blue hat said, "Is Raymond dead already, or why is he not moving his body?"
"Who knows? That's what he deserves since he started the fight," she added.
One of the people around her said, "Are you brave enough to tell him that when he wakes up?"
The woman responded, "I'm just joking, though. But he started the fight. Everyone knows that."
Ethan smiled, looking at Raymond on the floor.
"I thought he said that he has killed over seven people in the underground stages," he mused to himself, removing his hands from his pocket.
He looked at Angela and smiled gently at her. Angela was shocked, but he laughed.
"It seems I have found a real treasure. I don't believe Ethan took Raymond down. Had I known, I wouldn't have been begging him to leave. Raymond deserves some lessons."
Ethan walked out of the field.
Raymond's underlings quickly ran to check on him. They realized that Raymond had fainted.
"Give me some water right now," one of them demanded.
After receiving the water, he sprinkled it on Raymond, and he woke up. Raymond felt embarrassed and angry.
"He cheated, and we're not going to forgive him for what he did. My family won't let him go scot-free. If he hadn't cheated, I would have knocked him out," Raymond claimed.
Upon hearing this, Angela moved closer to Raymond and laughed.
"Why can't you just admit your defeat and stop saying that he cheated? You ran towards him, and he knocked you down. Everyone saw and witnessed it. Just accept that you are the loser," Angela said.
Raymond bit his lips, realizing that people were staring at him. He quickly got up and left the field.
Emilia was also shocked. She moved closer to Angela and said, "Wow... I didn't expect Ethan to beat Raymond. Angela, where did you find a man like Ethan?"
Angela laughed and then said, "Are you surprised that he took down Raymond?"
"I was shocked too. Where did you meet him?" Emilia asked, gazing at Angela.
"It's a secret, and I can't reveal it to anyone," Angela replied with a chuckle.
"I'm your best friend, Angela. Won't you tell me?" Emilia asked.
Angela moved closer to her and whispered in her ear, "I can't tell anyone because it's a secret," then she left the field.
Emilia ran after her, saying, "Am I not your best friend?"
After the fight, the atmosphere at the party took on a different tone. Everyone kept talking about the showdown between Raymond and Angela's boyfriend.
"People are leaving already. Should we be going?" Angela asked Emilia.
"I've noticed that too. Let's go," Emilia responded.
They both entered the car.
"Have you seen Ethan after the fight? I haven't seen him since then," Angela said.
"Not at all. I didn't see him. Is everything okay?" Emilia replied.
"I just wanted to give him a ride," Angela said.
Suddenly, Ethan passed by, and Angela quickly stopped the car. She got out of the car and rushed to Ethan.
"Are you still here? Since I brought you, let me give you a ride back home," Angela said.
"I'm not doing anything. I'm leaving," Ethan replied with a smile.
"That's good. Can you please just get in the car, so I can give you a ride?" Angela requested.
Ethan nodded in disagreement.
"I'm not interested, Angela. I'm sorry, but I have somewhere to be. Thanks so much," Ethan said and gently walked away.
"Okay," Angela said as she got back in her car.
"What's wrong, Angela? Is he not coming with us anymore?" Emilia asked.
Angela nodded and said, "Yes, he rejected."
She started the car and left the place.
Ethan stopped a taxi by the roadside.
"I'm going to Vertice Hotel," he said.
The driver glanced at him and then turned back.
"Are you sure you're going to Vertice Hotel?" he asked.
Ethan nodded in agreement and said, "Yes, of course. Take me to Vertice Hotel, the only seven-star hotel in the city."
After arriving there, he entered the lobby but was ignored. He took a deep breath and approached the receptionist. As he was going, he put his hands inside his pocket.
"I need a room to stay in," he said, looking at the receptionist.
"We don't have any rooms left," the receptionist replied.
Ethan frowned at the receptionist.
"Why is she so rude and lying?" Ethan mused to himself as he withdrew his hands from his pocket and placed them on the table.
He knew that Vertice Hotel typically reserved some rooms for important guests. He gently placed his hands in his pocket and brought out a black card.
Showing the receptionist the black card, he said, "I want a room on the top floor."
The receptionist scrutinized him and the black card in his hand, then she hissed in annoyance.
Angrily, she snatched the black card from Ethan and threw it on the floor.
"Security, get this man out of the hotel!" she cried out, glaring at Ethan.
Ethan looked at the card on the floor and smiled.
