188. Spill Your findings...

It was already dusk but Alaric was yet to get over what had happened. It was a slap to his face and he couldn't sit back without taking action.

Biting his lower lips as he paced around his balcony, he had his hand resting on his hips.

“I wonder how he was able to lay his hands on that. All these while, he had been snooping on me or… someone on the inside helped him.” He muttered, just then, Sam joined him.

With his hands clasped in front of him, he did a curt bow.

“Sir, I didn't find anything.” His voice was low but audible for Alaric to hear.

“You didn't find anything, not even a grain you mean.”

“It was a clean job, he was extremely careful with his deals.” He replied only to have his back against the wall the next minute.

Still fuming, Alaric walked up to him, grabbing the cuff of his shirt, he tossed him aside again, eliciting a loud groan that shook the foundation of the house.
