On his return to his office, Alaric tried to resume from where he had stopped but he found himself zoning out occasionally.

Each time he tried to proceed to the next time, something must come up and when he couldn't hold up anymore, he pushed his seat backwards in anger as he rose.

“I can't believe this is happening.” He muttered, pacing from his table to the couch and back.

“Silvan might be telling the truth. He doesn't look like someone with mental issues but… I can't believe him even if… ugh!” He tossed his head backwards as it began to hurt.

Grabbing a bottle mug, he brewed himself from coffee before returning to his seat.

Swirling around, he had his eyes shut, trying to clear his head and reduce the ache that was threatening to split it apart.

Still in this position, his door creaked open and he opened an eye.

When he discovered it was the legal team of the company, he snapped both eyes open and then sat up.
