Ash swiftly dodged the swing Sinon threw at him with her right hand, making him evade and cut through to her blind spot.Thinking he was going for an attack, she immediately turned and threw a punch at him, and again he dodged it easily and leaped back from her."Your attacks are weak," Ash mentioned as he brought his two fists to his chest level. He was wearing a blue top with black trousers, and he had red boxing gloves on."I'm trying," she replied as she charged at him and threw several weak jabs at him. "These heavy gloves are really hard to carry along,"He easily blocked the attacks and threw a faint swing at her, making her jump back."Stop complaining and attack already," Jared yelled from the bench they all sat down on.He was sitting close to Diva, Gareth, David, and Rika as they all watched, not too far from the boxing r
[Greetings dear readers, apologies for the delay in daily update. I'm currently trying to fight the severe writer's block I'm having, along side school activities. Your support and motivation will go a long way.]As the wind blew by from one end of the street to another, Ash and Jared stood close to the buildings by the side of the street."Greetings, Ash," a ladylike voice echoed into the wind as it swept past them, carrying dust particles into the air."You look well, Sarah," Ash greeted the lady who suddenly appeared in front of them."I try my best," she said and shortly after, bowed her head as a sign of respect. He observed her for a bit before calling Jared."Following this path down to some miles away from here, you should spot at least ten grade one and above zombies, bring back as many cores as you can find after killing them," Ash pointed in a direction as he explained to him."What are you gonna be doing?" Jared asked."I will be gathering further information from this lad
The little burst of flame that sat on Sarah's hand, provided more lighting to the surrounding as both Ash and she sat there, staring at it."S- Sarah, you-" Ash stuttered in his words as he watched her control the flames around her hand."I suddenly discovered that I could do this a few days back," she said with a gentle smile on her face."Few days?" Ash asked. 'Wait, that's around the same day that guy exploded in flames." A memory of what happened back then played out in his mind."You can control it?" He asked again."Yeah. Took me a while but I eventually got the hang of it," she answered. "Although, after burning a couple of paperwork," using her hand to rub behind her head, she laughed lightly."F - for real?" "Yeah, but it's nothing though, I eventually did them again,""I see," She eventually put out the flame, making the room return back to its normal lighting."If you can control it, what do you need me for?" "Well, I have this ability or gift, whatever it may be. But I
Diva sat on the black railings that surrounded the top of the building they use as base as she gazed into the setting sun. Rika, Gareth, and David all rested their arms and elbows on it alongside her while Sinon stood on the small ledge after it.They talked about their earlier training and how they plan to improve their skills."How about we all talk about our skills and area we are all good at," Gareth suggested."Why?" Diva asked."Yeah, what for?" Sinon added."Don't get me wrong, we are a team already and I think it's safe to say that we are a family as well," "But I think, knowing each other's strengths and weakness is a way to strengthen ourselves and have each other's back during battle," "He's making sense," Sinon cut in."Why won't it? It's not about knowing your weakness and using it against you. I think there's a reason Ash chose us each," Gareth continued. "I'd like to find out what those reasons are,""Alright then, I'm in," Rika quickly supported the notion."It migh
The sun had set and the night covered the city like a dark blanket, the team was currently inside their base except for Jared who just arrived at the location. His body was covered with blood stains as he dragged behind him the huge sack.He walked into the base through the gate using the security code Ash had previously given them. After walking in, he went about the place carrying the heavy sack on his back, going from room to room looking for the team. Thanks to the internal plant underneath the house, the inside of the base was fairly lit up making it easier for them to see.Jared finally came to the top of the building and walked along the doors by the sides, he soon got to one where he held them talking from inside. He quietly dropped the sack on the floor and opened the door a little. He walked back from it and took in a deep breath as he closed his eyes.Suddenly he opened them and immediately sent a kick to the door, making it blow open and releasing a loud sound. The team's
The milk-colored orb held up in the hand of Ash stood underneath the lighting of the room as it displayed in front of everyone. "The core," Ash voiced out audibly to make sure everyone heard. "Primarily gotten from the chest of a stage-two and above zombie," "To everyone normal person out there, it means nothing right now, but soon it will be highly searched for," "How do you know this?" Diva asked as she suddenly interrupted him. "From movies, games, and books," he replied and tried to continue when he was interrupted again. "How do you know it's true?" Diva questioned again. "That's what the movies, games, and books all say," he answered again, this time getting pissed. "Yeah, but those are fiction and make-believe. There's no proof they will work like that," "Can you let me demonstrate it for y'all to see if fiction can't be real? Isn't zombie apocalypse also fictional?" He then asked her. "Yes, it is but-" "Why has our world become one?" He cut her shut with another ques
[Hi y'all, so let me congratulate you for reading this book up till this point. I know it's not the best but I try to put in my best. Sigh... The story!]****[Rarrrr]The aggressive sounds of zombies running freely around the streets engraved fear into the hearts of the civilians who stood meters away from them. They were currently trapped at the end of the street with no way of escape, to their side was a huge building about fifteen stories high, while the other side had almost the same length as the building."Mummy please help, I don't want to die," the voice of a little girl could be heard from within the crowd of people trapped by the wall. She held onto her mother's brown
The noise of feet pounding in the shallow pool of water on the empty street could be heard as several people hurried around the bend in the road. The sky had long gone dark, and what reflected on their path was the lighting from various broken-down buildings around. "Hurry, we have to lose them," a girl running in front of them voiced out. She wore black trousers and a white sleeveless top that held her chest region firmly from easily bouncing around. Her red scarf flowed behind her as she led the group to safety. "How much longer?" The boy beside her, dressed in blue jean trousers and a black turtleneck top breathed out in exhaustion. He was carrying a black bag pack behind him to which he attached several wooden bats to it for protection. "Not much," she answered. "Once we pass this street, we will completely lose them," They all increased their speed one after the other in their various clothing as they continued running from whatever seemed to be chasing them. "Get ready,"
