Chapter 15

Scott’s POV

‘Can you come to the station, Scott? It’s urgent'

That was the text Scott had gotten from detective Hayden, and he had been in the process of returning the text when all hell went loose. His mind was only able to register two things: a flashlight and the crash.

He could recall Nathan pushing him out of the car and running, but every other thing that happened after that passed by in a flash.

Scott felt a solid body on top of him after the explosion, and it took him a few seconds to grasp that the body that was on top of him, and wasn’t moving was Nathan.

He groaned in pain, trying to wake his brother, but Nathan didn’t move. Fear overwhelmed him instantly as he thought that the worse had happened. He didn't want to dwell much on his thoughts.

“No! No, No!” he chanted as he tried to move his brother away from him. It took him a few seconds but he was able to move Nathan away.
