Chapter 20

Nathan’s POV

Nathan woke up with a sense of purpose the next morning. He had half expected that he would sleep through the morning, considering how late he had stayed awake the previous night and finally gone to bed.

He had spent the better part of his night going through the videos on the file and attempting to make sense of them. The scenery kept changing in the videos, and he was unable to make sense of what the recorder was really pointing at.

Whoever was in charge of recording kept on altering the location and view of the camera. What was the person trying to find out, Nathan thought.

Sometimes, the camera was positioned in the hallway, adjacent offices, or even the board room.

The location was not consistent, and it was after Scott had called it a night after falling asleep while they were watching the videos that he noticed how late it was.

Even after collapsing on the bed, it had taken him a while to finally let go and fall asleep.
