Now that Scott thought about Nicholas, he wondered how the man was doing, especially after the deal fell through.

Scott made a mental note to find out how Nicholas was doing. Nathan has yet to hear from Nicholas after sending the email that terminated the Project 100 agreement.

For some reason, he was waiting to see what Rivers Estates would do and how they would react to Hayes Holdings’ breach of contract, since they were yet to receive any legal letter.

They didn’t sign a contract with Rivers Estates in the first place, but had given their verbal agreement, so it was as good as signing a deal.

Nathan felt certain that he could manage any legal complications that arose, but thinking about Rivers Estates’ lack of action made him feel uneasy like it was the storm before the calm.
