Nathan's POV

The noises from outside Nathan's room, however, interrupted his stream of thinking and prevented him from continuing his search for his phone.

He scowled as the yells became louder. Nathan pondered what the hell was going on in the as he climbed out of bed.

He could distinguish at least three different voices. One belonged to Scott, while the other two were too noisy to distinguish.

Nathan questioned why Scott was shouting at the top of his voice. Was he yelling at a staff or something?

Nathan descended down the stairs, jumping two steps at a time to reach the source of the chaos. The more he got closer, the louder the voices were. The first person he saw was Jane, so obviously one of the voices belonged to her.

This was the first time he had seen her yelling at the top of her lungs in the months she had lived at the Hayes mansion. She'd always been a calm and reserved woman, and even when he did things that irritated her, she never lost her cool.
