Scott’s POV

It took Scott less than an hour to beat the early morning traffic, drop Nate off at school, and get to work. It was soon after eight a.m. when he entered his office, already exhausted when the day had not even started.

He had checked his schedule that morning and had mainly internally meetings with some departments. He was grateful that Helen had been considerate, considering the fact that she had filled his week with international calls from international clients.

He was about to sit down on his chair when his door was busted open and Samuel stuttered inside his office with an angry look and a paper on his hand.

Scott moaned. What the hell was wrong now? He pondered as Samuel slapped the paper on his desk. Scott grumbled, muttering profane words as he picked up the paper, reading its contents in seconds.

He identified two keywords: Rivers Estates and court. He looked up, shocked, and stared at Samuel.
