Scott’s POV

Never had Scott ever imagined that Nathan was ever going to ask if he could trust him. Never in his widest dreams did he ever imagine that trust was ever going to be an issue between them.

They had grown up together, linked to one another right from the womb. They had done things together that only the both of them knew about, not even their father. So the question had obviously taken him off balance.

Scott looked surprised at Nathan to see if he was really serious or joking. When he couldn’t see any trace of humor, he asked in a tight tone.

“Are you for real right now? I am your brother, Nathan. And perhaps the only person you could ever trust”.

Whatever was in those folders displayed on the screen of the computer had to be a deep secret if Nathan was acting this way. He noticed a conflicting expression pass through Nathan’s face, as if his brother was still considering whether he should listen to someone.
