Evan's gaze remained unwavering as he locked eyes with Marga. "Long enough to hear about your gossip regarding the necklace, Marga."

Marga stumbled over her words, her cheeks turning red with embarrassment. "I-I apologize, Sir. I didn't mean—"

"Enough," Evan interrupted, his tone sharp. "I didn't come here to discuss personal matters. I need to speak with you privately."

Marga nodded, a mixture of apprehension and remorse evident on her face. She motioned towards her coworker. "Emily, could you please excuse us for a moment please?"
