Mrs.Sanchez words caught Andrea off guard, causing her to turn to Evan with a look of surprise. Leo just smiled at asked Evan about his current condition.

"How's your feeling, man?" Leo asked him.

Despite Mrs.Sanchez words, Evan knew that Leo would never betray him. Their friendship was strong, regardless of their different backgrounds. Evan pushed aside any negative thoughts.

"I'm better now." he smiled.

"I knew everything would turn out fine."Leo said, smiling.

On the other side, Leo has gained immense admiration from Andrea's parents due to his successful life. You can easily tell how wealthy he is by his luxurious suit, Rolex watch, and million-dollar shoes.

"Leo, can you believe that you and Evan are best friends?" Mrs.Sanchez sarcastically remarked, highlighting their contrasting backgrounds.

Evan didn't bother to reply a word.

"Yes, Aunt." Leo playfully quipped.

"But we can't deny that you has more to offer than him!" Mrs.Sanchez insisted.

"Mom! "Andrea raised her voice.

"I'm sorry for my words."Mrs.Sanchez teased.

Evan struggled to suppress his anger. Unable to bear the conversation any longer, he turned his back.

Suddenly, he felt something impeding his wheelchair, and the next second, he lied on the floor in full view of everyone.

"Evan, are you okay?!" Andrea exclaimed in a panicked voice, immediately rushing to support him.

"Look at how stubborn and careless your husband is!" Mrs.Sanchez criticized, "Andrea, how much longer will you tolerate that useless man? When will you finally listen to us?!"

"Mom, it's enough." Andrea pleaded.

"That man is nothing but a burden in our life!" Andrea's mother yelled.

At this moment, the mansion suddenly plunged into darkness.

What’s happening!Andrea's mother yelled.

"It looks like you've run out of electricity," Leo said, taking out the latest model of his iphone and skillfully pulling up a query app. "Let me see... outstanding bill of 500 dollars."

Evan felt frustrated and depressed upon hearing this news. He didn't have the money to cover the bills anymore.

Mrs. Sanchez, with a frown on her face, looked at Evan disapprovingly.

“What do we do now?!” she raised her voice.

“Calm down, Aunt. Leave it to me,” His fingers danced on the screen, and with a beep of notification sound, Leo said, "I've paid 1000 dollars, so you don't have to worry for now."

“I promise to repay you once I'm back to work,” Evan assured him.

"No, you don't have to pay me. I genuinely want to help you and your family. Besides, it's just a small token for me."

His gaze swept over everyone, briefly lingering ambiguously on Andrea. Evan suppressed his doubts.

Leo was his best friend. And his beautiful and sexy wife, who loved him so deeply, always stood by his side...

When only Andrea and Evan were left in the room this night, Evan couldn’t help but asked.

“What do you think about Leo?”

Andrea's face immediately dropped.

“Are you suspecting me?”

“No! I’m just asking. After all, we owe him a big favor.”

“YOU owe him a big favor.” Andrea said coldly, “When I married you, I didn't expect the day you can't even pay the electricity bill.”

Evan was stunned; he had never imagined that Andrea would say such words. "What are you talking about..." he asked weakly.

I’m saying,Andrea said, “Perhaps my mom was right.”

Without another word, Andrea turned her back and left the mansion.

Evan tried to suppress the pain and heaviness in his heart.

As the night grew darker, Andrea still hadn't returned home. Evan couldn't rest or sleep, consumed by thoughts of his wife.

He tried to call her, but no one answered the phone.

Exhaustion overcame him as he fell asleep in his wheelchair, still gazing out the window.

As dawn approached, he was awakened by the noise of an engine.

His astonishment knew no bounds as an expensive car arrived in front of their gate. A tall and white man, clad in pristine white sleeves, emerged from the car, his sleeves impeccably folded to unveil gleaming watch.

It was none other than his bestfriend , Leo.

“Leo “he uttered.

Leo opened the car's other door, only to find his wife, Andrea, stepping out. In that very moment, his entire world crumbled as he witnessed them locked in a passionate kiss.
