Chapter 8: The crime
The manager's phone suddenly rang, causing the conversation to be interrupted. He quickly excused himself to answer the call.

After the manager left, Andrea convinced Leo to go home, stating that it was pointless to inquire further.

"It's time to go, sweetheart. Let's not waste any more time on this. Evan is not worth it," Andrea suggested.

"Absolutely. He will regret crossing us!" Leo declared firmly.

"He better start praying he never sees me again," he added.

As Evan observed them from afar, he smirked. Elias, curious, asked Evan about the woman who was with Leo.

"Is she your wife, boss? " Elias inquired.

"Ex-wife," Evan replied curtly.

Elias admired Andrea's beauty from afar, exclaiming,

"She's so very beautiful"

"Yeah, a beautiful gold digger," he remarked.

"I vow that they will regret the day they betrayed me," I declared firmly, seething with anger and bitterness.

Suddenly his phone rang, it was his grandfather, Mr. Winston, calling him. Evan promptly answered.
