Hearing her mention 'mom' made her suddenly remember what she wanted to discuss with her. She turned her full attention to Fiona.

"I think she is. The last time I checked her room, she was asleep," Carina said, looking at the entrance that led to her mother's room.

"Has she eaten?" Fiona asked, and Carina shook her head in negativity.

"Oh! I'll go prepare something for her, then. She should be hungry," Fiona said, and got up, but Carina stopped her.

"What?" She asked, wondering why Fiona held her back.

"Please, sit down. I need to talk to you about something," she said, and Fiona took a seat, fully paying attention to what Carina had to tell her.

Carina took a deep breath, and said, "I think mom needs someone to take care of her, and lessen the loneliness she feels every day. It's really not good for her health, because she will have every opportunity to overthink things."
