Carina was happy that she was able to convince Jayden to do the marriage soon, with the help of her father-in-law.

After they left, she went to meet Jayden in his room to fulfill her part of the promise.

When she went in, Jayden was lying on the bed, busying his fingers on the phone. He glanced at the door and saw her standing there.

He kept on doing what he was doing until she was close to him.

"Are you okay?" He asked, not looking away from his phone.

She sat beside him on the bed with a serious expression.

"Can we talk, please?" She requested, and he peered an inquisitive stare at her.

She looked serious, and he wondered what she wanted to talk about. He sat up, keeping his phone away.

"What's the problem?" He questioned, sitting upright with a worried look.

"I know you don't like talking about this, but I just want you to—"

"It's about him, isn't it?" He said, already looking uninterested in whatever she had to say.

She knew he would act this way, so she quickly placed her hand
