She went to work the next day, hoping that, somehow, Nathan would not try to talk to her about last night.

"Carey, what is wrong? You look…sick," Sonia asked, touching her neck to feel her temperature.

"I'm fine, Sonia. I'm just tired," she replied, forcing a smile.

"You should always try to get enough sleep, okay?"

Nathan had finished the urgent work he needed to do, and came to work. He went to meet Carina, first.

"Carey, can we talk?" He said, tapping his fingers on the table.

"I know you were lying, when you said you had stomach ache. I'm not upset, I just want the truth from you. What happened to you?" He said, holding her hands.

"Nothing happened, Nate. I told you already, I had stomach ache. Might be from what I ate," she said.
