Jayden pushed the door open, and was surprised to see Mr. Thomas, the butler. It seemed like he was waiting for him.
"I have been waiting for your arrival. Finally, you came!"
Jayden walked in, and shut the door. He looked around in amazement, and satisfaction. Soon, it will be his. The office was furnished to his taste. Simple, yet exquisite!
The butler saw the satisfactory look on his face, and smiled. "Just the way you love it."
"Hm." He nodded.
Mr. Thomas passed the documents to him, and he sat down, took the pen from the table, and the papers too. He began reading each line of the document carefully.
He smirked, after reading the document. He flicked the pen, and inscribed his signature on it.
"Congratulations, Jayden. You are now the CEO of Fernando's Intl."
"Thank you."
The butler was happy that he had finally agreed to take over. He recalled the time he tried to convince him to abort his plans of disguising as a delivery guy, and take over the company. Now, here he is, doing what he ought to have done a long time ago.
He sent an email to the management team, informing them of the new CEO of the company. They had never met Jayden before, so he attached a photo of him to the email.
"Is there anything else I have to do?" He asked, giving him the documents.
"No, why?"
"I want to get some new clothes. Wearing a delivery uniform is not really a good idea in some ways. I need to get changed."
Then he remembered his phone was broken, he asked, “Do you have a back up phone? Mine was broken.”
The butler took out a phone from the drawer and passed it to Jayden. “You could use this for now.”
“Thanks.” Jayden said, getting up. He was ready to leave. Today could pass as a free day for him, because he would resume his responsibility as the CEO.
There were a few things that needed changes, and he was going to fix them. It is his way now, and not his father's.
While Jayden was in the office, the receptionist, and guards were still awaiting his return. The General Manager had approached them with perplexity. She was worried, and confused at the same time. She did not understand why they gathered up, as though something was happening.
Ms. Fiona. That was her name.
She was a beautiful woman in her late twenties. Her curly blonde hair added to her beauty. Her brows furrowed as she approached the receptionist.
"What is going on here?"
"Good day, Ms. Fiona."
"Good day. Now, tell me what is going on here. Why are you all gathered here, instead of being at your work station?" She asked.
"Ms. There is… I was working, when a guy in a delivery uniform walked past me. He said he did not come to deliver food, and I tried to stop him, but he was proving stubborn. I called the guards to arrest him, but he ran into the elevator. We are waiting for him to come out," she explained, pointing at the elevator he used.
"And you all watch him leave? Did you know that the new CEO is arriving today? What would he say when he finds out about this? That a delivery guy broke in? And none of you could stop just a single person? It will be his first day in the company, and this is what you will present? How incompetent!" She said, furiously.
"We are sorry, Ms." They apologized.
"Save it, until you get him arrested."
Just then, the elevator beeped, and moved.
"He must be in that elevator," the receptionist said.
"Alright."
They watched the elevator stop, and the person they were all waiting for came out. There were guards walking behind him.
The receptionist sniggered, and gave him a slap. She had thought that the guards walking behind him had arrested him from the floor, where he was.
Little did she know that her actions had placed her job on the line.
"How dare you? Do you think this is a place where you could just enter, and move about? This is not your regular delivery places. I am sure you are a psycho. No sane person would act the way you do. Who do you think you are?"
Jayden was already losing it. He would have slapped her, but he had restrained himself. He needed her to know her place, and that he was the new CEO.
"How, and where did they get such unrespectful person from? Not like she is from the first class family, nor does she hold any title in the company. She is just a receptionist!" He thought, mentally face-slapping his head.
"You really want to know who I am? I am the new CEO of this company!" He spoke with authority.
What she did made him give her a quizzical look.
"If you are the CEO of this company, then I am the President of this country," she mocked, causing everyone present to laugh at it.
That was more than an embarrassment. She had gone extreme. She had no right to bully anyone. It was against the rules of the company, too.
Just as she was about to do something, she heard a voice that made her stop whatever she was about to do, midway.
"Stop!"
She looked backwards, and covered her mouth with her hands in surprise.
"This is impossible!"
The manager had left to use the restroom. She had come out just in time to see the receptionist slap the young man in front of her.She had wondered who it was, and what his offense was, that would make the receptionist slap him.She had hastened to get to the scenario, but halted to check her phone that had just beeped, indicating that she had a message. It was an email with an attachment. She had been informed about the CEO beforehand, but the email she received was a short description of the CEO, as the the heading was titled, 'CEO'.She had clicked it open, and it showed his picture. Her heart sank when she saw his picture. He was the same person the receptionist had slapped. The delivery guy she was talking about."This is worse than I thought," she said. She needed to stop her from causing any further problem. The receptionist turned to tell the manager that he was the man they were looking for, "Ms. Here is the man that broke—" she paused. She just met what seemed to be the sh
He walked in, not minding the weird eyes that wanted to feed on him. He already expected to have another drama unfold. He would not blame them. A person dressed in a delivery uniform, or anything of that class had no business with a bank as this.It was the most famous bank, and only the upper class saved their money in it. The minimum deposit was 5,000 dollars. It was situated in the outskirts of the city. With the number of cars parked outside, and the way the people entered in and out of the bank, dressed in sumptuous clothes, one could easily tell that it was meant for big influencers, and the rich, as a whole. It was a bank that everyone knew was meant for the upper class. It was Bank d'Finance, owned by a group of French influencers, who had moved in to the country, and planned to become US citizens.Everyone, as always, wore their expensive dresses. Everyone, except Jayden. Not like he cared. He just wanted to get things done, and rest. He was already tired of the whole drama.
The cashier was shocked. The manager was a highly respected person, and whosever he is bowing down to, must be someone of high caliber. The people who were present too, in the bank had astonished looks on their faces. He was just a delivery guy to them.Only the Creator knew where the cashier got the courage to question the manager. "Excuse me, sir. Why show so much respect to a delivery guy?" She received no answer from him, so she asked again.Rather than get a response, a slap landed on her cheek. The manager had slapped her. "Do you know who this man is?"She shook her head, telling him expressionally, that she did not know him.He showed her his Bank ID card. She took the card from him, and gasped in realization. The ID was specifically for Senior VIP clients, who had 50 million dollars in the account. She had first thought he stole it, until she saw his picture on it. As much as she did not want to believe that a delivery guy and the owner of the ID card were one, and the same
He was just returning from the party, where he met his lover, more like his sex mate. He hit on the road, driving at a high speed, while the loudspeakers in the car blared with music. He had been kissing at intervals, while driving. He had ran out of control, and had knocked Jayden down. "Oops." The girl in the car exclaimed. He could have just drove past, but he wanted to have fun.He came out of his car to meet Jayden, who was just getting up from the floor.Jayden turned to face him, and was about to say something, but he did not get the chance to, as the guy had already started yelling. Jayden just looked at him, confused. "Watch where you are going, will you? Now, look… you hit my car with that thing. Do you know how much this car worth? You, and your assets—if you have any, is not worth this expensive car."Jayden was very sure he did not run into his car, it was the man that drove carelessly, as though he owned the road. He was the one who drove on a high speed, and almost in
The officer bowed his head, and apologized. "I'm sorry, sir."The thought of getting involved with The Jackson's was something he did not want to experience. He had heard of people's experience with The Jackson's, and he certainly did not want to have an experience. He turned to Jayden, and frowned."Young Man, you must pay for the damages you caused." He said."What damages? You have not confirmed if there is any damage, before asking me to pay. He was the one who hit, and knocked me down. Why should I pay for anything? By law, he is supposed to compensate me, for damaging my scooter.""You better obey, or I might arrest you.""You think I am scared of you? Are you sure you do not want to confirm the damages?" Jayden smirked."No, I won't. Are you going to pay back, or not?" The officer said. He was baffled by his boldness. Was he not afraid of him, or even the rich guy in front of him?"Are you this stubborn? I think I remember you. You were the guy from the party, who did not have
The butler had called the company, and asked for some men, after he had received Jayden's call. The man was scared of Jayden. The butler knew Jayden was enraged. He needed to vent his anger. He knew almost everything about Jayden, because he lived with them, and watched him grow up. Jayden had a short temper, but he had learnt to control it, after the incident that almost left him traumatized. He had been angry at his schoolmate, for pouring water on his book, and refusing to apologize. As a quiet person, he was often bullied. Only a few people knew about his family. He did not understand why he was hidden from the world. While other rich kid went to school with their personal guards, the butler always took him to school. The boy had refused to apologize, and insulted him, after hearing that his mother had left him. Out of anger, he punched the boy, and he lost his tooth. Since then, he avoided anything that would make him angry. Seeing the cold eyes, and how he glared at the man,
He rode his scooter to the mall. He sighed, wondering if there would be, yet, another drama. The mall was the biggest mall in Texas, and only the upper class had went there. Only a few members of the lower class were accepted there, to work as cleaners, receptionists, or security officers. It was an 8-storey building, where a wide varieties of products were sold, and services, provided. You could find almost everything you needed there—food items, electrical appliances, clothes, spa…People were going in and out of the mall, dressed in, of course, expensive clothes. He walked in, with the expectation of having another drama occur."After today, do not come back. You are fired!" The manager of the mall said, throwing a white envelope at her.Jayden wondered what she could have done. She had just gotten fired, and he was sure that she would create a scene. He took a deep breath, and walked towards her direction, "hello."He had expected her to frown, and say harsh things to him, as he
They waited patiently for his answer. Mr. Thomas was confused, he did not understand why he had the smirk on his face. He had thought Jayden would return to his father, after visiting the mall, but his reply made him feel disappointed. "Take me to the beach house." Mr. Thomas faced him, ready to convince him; but he raised his hand up, indicating that he was not ready for the conversation. The butler could only sigh. "How could he embarrass me that way? In front of all those poor puppets!" Jane yelled, immediately she entered the car. Her friend ran to her, to calm her down. "I will make him pay!" "Calm down. I told you not to talk to him, but you still insisted." Jane glared at her, and she kept quiet. "What are you waiting for? Drive me home!" Back inside the mall, the ladies were still shocked by the scenario that just occured right in front of them. "What did you do to the man that made him give you such an amount of money?" One of them asked. She was the same person wh
