Chapter 34: Prove It

“HAVE A seat, young master,” Maxine told August as she pointed to the white chair in front of the white rounded table.

“Sure.” August immediately obliged as he sat down on the chair, following Maxine who also sat in front of him.

Two cups of tea and a marble kettle were in front of them. August’s brows furrowed as he thought that it would just be an ordinary conversation, but it looked like it wasn’t the case.

“Are we going to have a long discussion?” August couldn’t help but ask in curiosity.

Maxine chuckled a little and raised a brow. “It depends on how the conversation will go, young master. However, let me get straight to the point.”

Maxine leaned down and opened a suitcase which August didn’t notice that Maxine was carrying earlier. She pulled a thick document out of that suitcase and placed it on the table, causing August to raise a brow, confused.
