CHAPTER.40.Worried sick about Robert.
Robert stood there, his lips twitching into a wide grin as he watched her zoom off until he could no longer see the hood of her car. "She is such a delightful, simple, and kind lady!" he thought to himself.

He crossed over to the park and stood there, expecting a cab to pass by so he could hop in, but for the next ten minutes, there was none in sight. Soon, he glanced up at the sky and saw that it had grown dark and rain was imminent. He quickly pulled out his phone to call Simon and ask for a ride, but the rain had already started to drizzle. Instead, he looked around and rushed into a hotel.

He took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over him.

As he entered the hotel lobby, he was promptly greeted by the receptionist, a friendly-looking woman with a warm smile. "Good evening, sir. Welcome to the Santaro Hotel!" she said.

Robert responded with a soft smile.
