As Ryan stepped into the ward, he turned to see Mrs. Sonya was seated beside her daughter's bed. The room was filled with the sounds of beeping machines. Tubes flowed from various devices, connecting to the little girl's hand.

The little girl, though weakly lying on the bed, was awake. Her eyes, bright despite her condition, turned towards Ryan as he entered.

Ryan sighed heavily as he saw Mrs Sonya let out a soft giggle.

However, the laughter did not mask the tears that pooled in her eyes, tears that were a mixture of pain, fear.

Ryan took a seat beside them, his presence a silent vow of support and solidarity. The little girl, observing her mother's emotional state, asked with an innocent voice, "Mum, why are you crying?"

"I'm not crying, darling. Sometimes, when we're really happy, our eyes just need to let it out." She dabbed the corner of her eyes, "Am I? No I'm not," She chuckled.
