Lucille let out a soft laugh. "What are we doing?" she asked, a bemused smile playing on her lips. "We're standing here, staring at each other like we're playing a game of chicken."

Graham was taken aback by Lucille's laughter. He was so focused on trying to decipher her true feelings that he hadn't expected her to break the tension with a laugh. It was a pleasant sound, and it made him feel a little more at ease. But when she asked her question, he was at a loss for words. He felt a blush rising to his cheeks, and he struggled to find the right thing to say. Finally, he stammered out a response.

"I... I don't know," he said. "I'm not really sure what we're doing."

Graham's mouth quirked up in a small smile. "I don't know the rules of this game."

Lucille gracefully led Blackmare into the stables, her movements effortless and elegant. Graham watched her, transfixed. He couldn't seem to tear his eyes away from her. It was as if she had cast a spell on him, and he was powerless to resist
