Chapter 129
"Ready?" Spike asked.

"No!" Elliott shook his head.

"Yeah!" Robin laughed, still hanging on. Spike stomped on the ground, forcing the disk and its passengers to slide toward the base of the hill.

"I don't want to do this anymore!" Elliott cried out.

"Elliott, if you jump off now, you'll ruin the momentum!" Robin warned him.

Elliott jumped off anyway. Robin, not wanting to continue without him, followed suit. They both rolled down the hill, ending up in...a heap at the bottom. Elliott landed on his back, with Robin landing on top of him. They lay there, panting from the mad dash down the hill. Robin propped herself up on her elbows, her face inches from Elliott's.

"You okay?" she asked.

Elliott opened his mouth to answer, but no words came out. He just stared up at her, his eyes wide.

Robin leaned down for a kiss, her eyes half-lidded and her lips slightly parted. As she drew close to Elliott, he unexpectedly rolled over, throwing her off balance and sending her tumbling to the grass.
