Chapter 16: The search

Gianna felt frozen, unable to move as she watched the confrontation unfold. She knew she should say something, but she couldn't find the words.

Fiona rushed to Dean's side, her face etched with concern. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice urgent. "Aviva, please, let him see again. It was just a misunderstanding!"

But Aviva didn't release him from her power completely. He was still bound by her magic, unable to move freely. Fiona looked up at the goddess, pleading with her eyes. "Aviva, please," she said again. "He meant no disrespect. Please let him go."

Aviva hesitated, and for a moment it seemed as though she might relent. But then her expression hardened, and she shook her head. "I will not forgive such an insult," she said, her voice cold and uncompromising. "He will remain my prisoner until I decide otherwise."
