Chapter 40

As Elliott sobbed in Robin's arms, he felt a mix of emotions: shame, relief, and determination. Shame at having allowed his emotions to get the best of him, relief at finally being able to let them out, and determination to make things right with Robin. He knew that their relationship was worth fighting for, and he was ready to do whatever it took to make it work.

He pulled away from Robin's embrace and looked into her eyes, a new resolve shining through. "I'm sorry," he said. "I know I've been difficult, but I'm ready to try to do better."

Elliott wiped his eyes and sat up, turning to face Robin. "I'm sorry for running off like that," he said. "I know it was a coward's move, and I promise I'll try to be better."

"That's all I ask," Robin said, a soft smile on her face. "We all make mistakes, but it's what we do next that counts."

Elliott took a deep breath and nodded. "I know."
