CHAPTER HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN She pulled the trigger and he was shot three times in the leg. He screamed out in pain as he rolled to the side. He had never seen such an amount of blood and the sight of it made him dizzy and he lost consciousness immediately. She shook her head at his cowardliness but it still helped her in a way. At least, she won't have to kill him now, he has made the job easier for her. She turned to the door and the two men that were standing and they walked in to meet her. She pointed to one of the guards. “Put gloves on, make the blood go round his body, his chest especially” she ordered and the guard got to work immediately as he didn't want to waste time and risk making her angry. “When you're done with whatever you're doing, you make sure to take about five or ten pictures, clear ones. Have I made myself clear?” She asked and the man replied “Yeah, ten pictures it is” he wanted to impress her but she just scoffed. Daniel was just a pawn in her
CHAPTER HUNDRED AND EIGHTEEN Tamara sat on the floor, dried tears stuck under her eyes and her eyes were red and swollen. Her hair was disheveled due to constant pulling. At that moment, she looked like a mad woman. Gabriel had tried calming her down, but it seemed as if his words only hurt her more, and so, he decided to let her be. They all sat in the longest cushion in the room, their eyes fixated on her while she stared ahead. She had this distant look in her eyes and her face was red from constant rubbing. She stood up abruptly and they all looked at her in bewilderment. “Let's go” she said to the guards who stood at the side. It's been four hours since those pictures were sent to her and the men were even tired of standing, but they couldn't dare to complain, seeing the mood she was in. The men assigned as she arranged her hair and rubbed off the dried tears on her face. She put on her shoes, she had taken them off during her fit. “Where are you going?” Gabrie
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETEEN Three days had passed since Daniel's kidnap and assumed death. Tamara was hell bent on getting her son's body, she had been moving from one hospital to another, one mortuary to another. And at one point, she had even gone to mass graves, but she still couldn't get the body she so wanted badly. Gabriel, although he would have lived to help her in the search, he knew he had to find a way to stop Danny without being too noticeable, so he worked in the shadows. He couldn't bring himself to inform Owen what he had found out about Rina after the unfortunate news they had received that day. Although he knew that Owen and Daniel were not on good terms, he knew Owen would be heartbroken after what happened that day, so he didn't want to add salt to an already open wound, so he kept his mouth shut. Owen and Rina were busy trying to trace a dead or alive Daniel and their plans weren't working so well as it was in their heads. All their trails were lead
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY Kate had just gotten back from the office, she looked like she was in a shitty mood and this made all the maids avoid her. They steered clear from her line of sight as she walked into the house, her bag hanging on one of her arms. She made a beeline to their (she and Jake’s) room and she shut the door behind her with a loud bang. The maids and guards felt the house shook and some of them were even scared. She looked at the clock on the wall and it was past seven at night. She took off her office clothes and she went for a cold shower. She had decided that she and Jake would settle their differences today. Although, last she remembered, they never had an issue to begin with, but with the way he's been acting lately, she would try to have a decent discussion, one that wouldn't end in an argument with him later today, whenever he got back. This was the thought she had in mind as she got into the shower and freshened up. She went downstairs and
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE Owen got down from his car, he had not allowed his security to go with him, as he didn't want to raise any alarms, or draw too much attention. And what better way to draw attention than arriving with a convoy? He stood close to the car, checking out the spits where they could possibly have CCTV'S around. His eyes searched for a while before he finally saw it. He smirked. The contractors were professionals, as the place where they had installed the cameras was unique. It would be like looking for a grain in a haystack, and that wasn't a day job. He was happy to have found it easily. He walked into the hotel and one of the waiters came to welcome him. He requested to see the manager and he was taken to a corner to wait for him. In no time, the waiter from earlier came to meet him where he sat. He was told that the manager had called him to his office. He went with the waiter and the girl took him to the manager's office. When they got there
CHAPTER HUNDRED AND TWENTY TWO Rina took deep breaths as she walked into her parents house. She had been informed by her mother that Danny wanted to see her and although she was not in the mood to see her, she knew she must. As she had already denied her invitation for a meeting for too long. She didn't know if she was here yet, but she knew that punctuality was Danny's best trait. She never missed or came late to a meeting, formal or informal. Her palms were clammy as she tried to wipe them on her pants. She looked like the evil mistress with the way she was dressed, she was putting on a white sexy crop top with plain black baggy denim jeans that had a slit that almost made it to her inner thighs. Her heels made loud sounds as they came in contact with the wooden floor. She got to the front door and she halted a little. She took one last deep breath before she knocked lightly on the door. She waited for a while and in no time, the door was opened from the inside. “Goo
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THREE Rina and Danny looked at each other with hatred, they were literally shooting lasers at each other through their eyes, if that was possible. “And why the hell are you here? We made a deal, I said I'm on it, which I am. So why the hell are you trying to interfere?” Rina asked “Careful, we don't want your mother finding out about our deal do we?” Danny said as she made way to the door to make sure it was locked tight. Rina followed her with her gaze “So, where were we?” Danny asked with a playful smile dancing at the corner of her lips. She wanted to get Rina all riled up and it seemed like her plans were working fine. “We were at the point where you poke nosed in my business” Rina answered and she chuckled “Well, that is what I have always loved about you, why I wanted you close. That fiery spirit, I want to quench that fire, break that hard girl while you watch me do it” she said and Rina's glare increased. If her eyes could pop
CHAPTER HUNDRED AND TWENTY FOUR Esme was seated with some of her guards, they had managed to get a blueprint of the house where Daniel entered when he left the building. She kept her eyes on the file in front of her as she nodded slowly. She could've let them go as they didn't really cause her son harm in any way, but she couldn't sleep knowing that the people who had her son kidnapped were roaming tge soio freely. She wouldn't be able to live with that. And another reason was the fact that she felt they had insulted her and she wouldn't take such insult lying down. She wanted to make her attack smooth and easy, fast too. So she knew she had to be calm. As the right time would come, and she would strike when the time was right. “The walls are made of granite” she heard one of the men say, he was not talking to her, rather he was talking to another person in the room, but her hearing managed to grab onto it. “Going in there would be a suicide mission. Heck, she wouldn't
