CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR

Owen sat on one of the couches in the sitting room as he waited for Tamara to come in. He had asked one of the guards to ask the others to let her in and for about twenty minutes he had been waiting but there was no sign of her. He shook his head in exasperation as he got up from the couch and headed to the door. Halfway to the door, he heard noise outside the house and he sighed.

He placed a call to his head guard and the man picked up almost immediately. It seemed as if he had been waiting for his call.

“Greetings boss” the man greeted

“What's going on at the gate?” Owen asked, not caring to return his greeting

“Uhmm it's the woman at the gate, she's refusing to go in without her guards and I've told her countlessly that she can't go in with all those armed men” the man replied and Owen let out a deep breath. With the way she came with all those men, he already knew something was wrong. The fact that she was requesting to talk to hi

He still had the bandage on his head but he was less concerned about it. He just didn't want to see his wife or his child harmed. Rina smiled when she heard the concern in his voice, she couldn't expect such love and care from someone she had actually betrayed in a sense. He still acted cool with her even after he found out everything. If she had known that he would act this way, then she would have told him since, now she was just left with what ifs, but she was happy it wasn't regrets. A win's a win. Now, she just had to stay strong and make his dream come true for him. She was still strong enough to walk and work, but he just didn't want to take chances with her and the baby's life. She had thought he was acting all possessive, but she had just come to see this side of him. He was possessive as hell and she l

She saw him to the car and he was about to get in when she stopped him. He looked at her questioningly. “How's my daughter?” She asked and Owen looked at the car before looking back at her. “She's fine” he replied “And the baby?” She asked again “Doing pretty well” Owen replied. “Do you have any messages for her? I can help you pass it across, if you share” He said and she wanted to shake her head but she remembered. “Just tell her I miss her” she said and Owen nodded his head. He could s

Even after the rude words he told her the day they met. “Would you care to have a taste?” He asked as he scoped a little of the egg sauce with the wooden spoon in his hands. She looked at the spoon skeptically but after some time, she finally agreed. She came down from the counter and walked to where he stood, in front of the stove. She collected the spoon from him and she used her fingertips to fetch some

CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTY ONE Rina had woken up early, she rubbed her eyes as she looked at the time. It was almost four and she knew the whole house would still be asleep, so she had to be fast. She was going to her mother's place as the house felt too stuffy for her right now. She needed space so she could think and make decisions that would benefit her in the future. She took her bath hurriedly and when she finished dressing up, she took only a few things with her. She had just made it downstairs when she got thirsty. She shook her head with a dramatic sigh as she made it to the kitchen to take a glass of water. She opened the kitchen door and was about to go in when she saw Tyla, sitting on the kitchen counter while Owen made something for her. It was the same meal he wanted to make for her, but it actually ended as coal as that was the day they almost burned the whole house. Owen smiled when he saw her. He could see the eye bags beneath her eyes and it made his he

Owen couldn't help but tower over her as he was a few inches taller than her and she hated that fact now. “Babe..” Owen started as he touched her face, her cheeks in particular. But she yanked his hand off with force. He kept his hands to himself but he still said what he wanted to anyways. “I'm sorry Rina, I know I did you wrong, I broke the promises I made to you and I regret it deeply. But I do not know how to break it down to you that shit happened and no matter what, I can not change back the hand of time. I just promise that it won't repeat itself next time. Please” Owen said to her, but he could see that she was not relenting. It seemed as if his words made her more angry. “Save that story for another day, I will just have you know that Tyla or whatever you call her and I will not live together in this house, that shit ain't gonna happen, I'll

She had thought of what happened between her and her mother earlier and now, she was feeling a little bit guilty. She could clearly understand the kind of pain and confusion her mother was in, and yelling at her that way was like pouring salt on an open wound. She had to sleep over it to realize that. Mario shifted on the bed and she understood he was trying to sit up. She sat up and he did too. They sat facing each other and he gave her a look that said ‘I told you so’ . “Don't give me that look” Kate said as she bent her face. She was already having a bad day without getting out of bed. She stood up from the bed and stripped to the bathroom. She washed her face and cleaned her teeth before coming out. She met him in the same position she had left him and she gave him a questioning look. “Aren't you getting out of bed?” She asked. “Hell, I am

But he had to do what was important and getting Tyla to sleep was very important at this moment. He ran his hand across her back and she relaxed against his touch. They lay side to side, her back pressed closely against his chest, while his arm was wrapped around her waist. “Owen” she called, her voice a little bit groggy. He could tell that she was almost falling asleep. “Hmm” he replied and she was silent for a while, the beeping sound of the machines in the room being the only sound audible. She sighed loudly before she finally spoke up. “Do you think bad people deserve to be loved too?” She asked and he was taken back by her question. He didn't think she would actually ask him something like this. “Yeah” he answered sincerely “Everybody deserves to be loved” he added. She wanted
