“What did she say?” Rina asked her mother. They had retired to her room, as the sitting room was still crowded due to the ongoing party. She didn't even get the chance to enjoy the party, it was from one bullshit to another. She was surprised to see her mother, as it had been a long time since they saw each other, and she was well aware that if her mother wanted something from her, she would call her. So seeing her here, she knew that whatever it was, it was very important.

Her mother was a busy person and the fact that she came to meet her personally, meant that whatever it was, it was not something that could be discussed over the phone, but of all the thoughts that had ran through her head, the one she was hearing was the least of her expectations.
