CHAPTER NINETY SIX

Jake got to the house and he expected questions from the guards, as it was their usual routine but he was surprised when they let him in without any delay. He surmised that Esme had given them another command. He drove into the compound in his black Chevron and from the gate, he could see Esme standing outside, she wrapped herself with a shawl while she stared ahead.

He sighed within him, why not stay inside if she was feeling cold? He thought within him. From the fierce look in her eyes, he could see that he was in for some argument or whatever.

He parked his car at a corner of the compound and when he came down, he walked to her without wasting time. He wanted to see if he would be fast enough, so he could go make the food he had planned on making for Kate.
