CHAPTER FORTY: SHOPPING FOR GIFTS.

Miles had a confused expression on his face. “What’s wrong?”

“Kelsey’s dress; where did you buy it from?!” Lola’s face held a shocked gaze as he looked at the dazzling dress that her daughter was wearing. She felt the fabric with her hands which left her in greater shock. This cloth had to be expensive.

Lola was about to ask her husband how he had afforded the pay, but then she held her curiosity back as she remembered that Miles was a broke man. The only sensible conclusion that she could come up with is that Miles had purchased this at one of those illegal shops that make cheap versions of expensive clothes, except they make it hard to distinguish.
