CHAPTER SIXTY–TWO: MEETING AN OLD FRIEND.

Fisher was surprised and he felt like something weird was going on. “How did you suddenly find the missing money?”

The head of security struggled to calm his nerves. “I decided to double-check at that elevator where Mr. Miles had found the briefcase. It was there that I found the money at the back of the large plant pot near that elevator. I’m guessing someone must have accidentally kicked the briefcase open and the money had flown out.”

Miles fought the urge to shake his head at this. It was clear as broad daylight that this head of security was lying. Miles began to wonder who was really responsible for this charade. It was quite certain that someone had set him up with that briefcase and the missing money. Miles was also smart enough to realize that this finance personnel was also paid to make him out as the thief. Otherwise, it made no sense that a man he had never conversed with would suddenly accuse him of robbery with so much certainty.
