Miles stood by the entrance in silence as he stared at his wife’s face before moving to Kelsey, his little daughter. The weak-looking child had a tube down her throat and an oxygen mask on her face. She was still attached to a machine to keep her body system functioning.Lola glared at Miles. “Didn’t you hear me? Why did you take so long?
