Chapter 42: Business Talks
Did Johnny know money? Honestly, he felt like he was the one who knew the importance of money best when he had been living in poverty. Everyone else had probably spent money on things like water. Okay, he knew he wasn't being fair. In order to run a successful business, they had to know how to handle money or at least hire someone competent.

While he was tempted to say something sarcastic, Johnny simply said, "You don't have to worry about me, but I don't think you'll take my word for it. How about we make a little wager?"

Rachel narrowed her eyes and asked, "What are you suggesting?"

"Since you're worried that I don't know how to handle money, we will have a competition to see who would make the most money within a certain period," he said.

"It sounds like you're assuming we'll be doing the jewelry business," Rachel's father said.

"If you weren't thinking about it, you wouldn't have agreed to meet," Johnny said.
