"Do you see the demons?" asked Chris as he peered over the edge of the ledge he was stationed at.

"I see them," said Bobby from his location several rooftops away.

Hearing their voices through the stone in his hand nearly made Luke cry with tears of joy. He finally got his hands on a valuable item. It was something meant to let people communicate over long distances. Of course, it was quite subjective about what was considered long distance. The stone in his hand only had a maximum range of the whole town, which wasn't much.

However, for their purposes, it was plenty. Unfortunately, they couldn't keep them, which was something Luke mourned over. If he had known about them having valuable items, he would have demanded them as payment for his help.
