Luke's attention was fully on the conversation, as Boyd said, "She told it to attack us before telling it to follow her. I'm not sure which way she went, but I think she's going to attack one of the other groups."
This was bad. Luke didn't think one of the higher demons would actually show up here. He had assumed they would only send their minions to do their dirty work. This completely changed things more than if it had been just the troll. None of them knew what they were up against, as it was clear Boyd didn't know anything about her as she had chosen to stay on the sidelines the entire time.
At least he was able to tell them what she looked like before he finally succumbed to his injuries. It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing.
