Instead of a red line, it came out black. While they were confused by the color, they ignored it as Luke drew a door in the floor. If there wasn't a keyhole for them to use the key on, then he would make one himself. If this didn't work, then he would simply draw something else until he finally drew something that would get them out of there.
Once his crude picture was finished, the lines glowed, and a real door formed on the floor right in front of their eyes. They stared in awe at the miracle in front of them. Luke then studied the pen in his hands as he truly wondered where this miraculous item had come from. It might possibly belong to the god of this world if he dared say so, but he quickly remembered what the demon king had said about it.
Shaking his head from those thoughts, he said, "Now let's try to unlock."
Using the key they had in their poss
"What?" Luke said as he stared blankly at 'Kayla'."Don't act innocent. How did you get your hands on that item?" 'Kayla' demanded.Luke and Grace shared a look before he said, "Hold on. I think we're not on the same page. What do you mean by creator, and what does this pen have anything to do with it?"'Kayla' frowned. "Do you really not know?""I wouldn't be asking you to explain if we already knew," he said dryly. She scanned their surroundings before saying, "You obviously know about the systems and how the angels and demons have been fighting each other since the very beginning. Well, the creator is the one who created this world along with the angels and the system."He obviously knew about the first part, but he never expected the second part.
The demon king was right that it couldn't be a coincidence that he had it, but there was no point in trying to figure out the reason why the creator gave him such an item. He had no one he could talk to about the creator to get a better idea of their character. Also, it wouldn't change the fact that he now wielded the most powerful item in the world.Luke asked, "Then is it possible to create anything I want with it?"[I can't say. It's only a fragment, so there should be limitations.]As his face took on a thoughtful look, 'Kayla' said, "We can't stay here. Others will pass by and spot you.""Where can we go?" Grace asked as she scanned the area. "We don't know the place.""Unfortunately, I still have to obey this guy and ensure you're safe," 'Kayla' said as she jabbed a thumb in Luk
The duo didn't hesitate to drop what they were doing and run to a shelf, scurring behind it. They had ducked behind it just in time as an angel entered the library. At leas they assumed it was on angel. Since they were hiding behind the bookshelf, they couldn't see how many there were or what they looked like and could only listen as 'Kayla' went to confront them."Castiel, what are you doing here?" she asked."I should be asking you that. You suddenly disappeared off somewhere," Castiel said. "Why are you wasting time here instead of doing your job?""My work isn't time sensitive so figured I wanted a place to relax. Since no one ever comes into the library, I thought it would be the perfect place, but I guess I was mistaken if you're here," 'Kayla' said dryly.Luke and Grace really wanted to see the face of the angel
However, once the thought crossed Luke's mind, it was impossible to ignore. Now that he knew about the existence of the creator, he found his mind wondering how much of his actions had been monitored by them. Had they been watching from the very beginning, getting some sick joy watching him struggle and suffer for years in this place because they decided they enjoyed watching them fight?[It would certainly explain some things.]"What do you mean?" Luke asked as the duo ducked into an empty room to avoid the angels they saw in the distance.[Your original plan to get revenge had been to sneak a place into the princess's heart and go from there. However, despite your best efforts, it failed, and you even left the kingdom to go on a year long journey that was cut short. You should understand what I'm implying.]He did, b
Nothing. Nothing happened when he tried to pull up the quests he knew he had received. In fact, he couldn't get the system to work, which didn't make any sense as the demon king was the system, and he had no problem communicating with him. Luke narrowed his eyes as he considered the possibility that the demon king was purposely obstructing his way.[It's not me, or at least I'm not doing it intentionally.]"How can you do it unintentionally?" Luke asked dryly over the pounding headache. "As the system, you should be able to control what I see."[Ever since we arrived here, you have been denied access to the system.]Luke was not impressed. "Is that why I'm so weak and my head is a mess?"[It's part of it, but I can't say anything else.]Lo
"Explain," Luke demanded as he curled his free hand into a fist."It's just as I said. The creator tried to do something, but something went wrong in the process," the angel said. "That's why I'm here now, even though I was eliminated long before the two of you showed up."It explained some things, but it also brought up some very uncomfortable questions. Luke wasn't sure if Grace had picked up on the implications and glanced in her direction. She had a thoughtful expression, but he couldn't tell for sure what was on her mind. There could be any number of things she was thinking about. However, he couldn't think on it further as the angel was speaking up again."Perhaps I was overestimating you two," the angel said as he placed a finger on his chin. "I had really hoped you two would help me deal a blow to the creator, but I should have known better to r
Sariel suddenly raised both his hands into the air and said, "I surrender."Luke blinked, Tracy's mouth dropped, and Grace's eyes widened, while Violet continued to act like this was an ordinary occurrence. Immediately, Luke narrowed his eyes as he studied the angel for any other suspicious actions. There was no way he was going to believe that the angel was surrendering willingly after everything he had done so far."Don't look at me like that," Sariel said as he lowered his arms, causing the party to tense. "It's true that I could take all of you on, but I would rather avoid drawing too much attention to me. After all, I don't want to face oblivion again."Even if Sariel was being truthful, Luke refused to let it go that easily. No one in their right mind would just forgive being choked and threatened, especially when it happened a couple minutes prio
"You can't be serious," Tracy said as she shook Grace's shoulder. "He literally said you'd die. Is that what you want?"Grace couldn't answer because she was being shaken so hard. Violet and Luke separated them. They waited for her to recover from the dizziness so she could explain herself. Luke couldn't help but feel anxious about her answer. She had better have a proper explanation that he could accept, or else he was going to make sure to never let her out of his sight."I don't want to die, but what other choice do we have?" Grace said."I'm sure the four of us can come up with something. We don't have to rely on him," Tracy said as she pointed at Sariel with her thumb."I agree. We already know for a fact that it failed, so trying it again is pointless," Violet said as she crossed her arms.
