They walked back quietly to the Hunters’ area with Sora taking the lead. Z watched from behind as he dragged his feet all the way, it was obvious something was bothering him and he only took out his frustration on Konan…but what was it?
Hatred? Z knew what she saw had not been born out of hatred. Sora had been fine when they went to the infirmary that morning but completely differently when they met up after.
Z was mostly worried about the side of him she had seen and how it made her question him, something had to be the root cause and she wanted to reach out but she didn’t know how to.
She waited a few seconds before finally deciding to speak up.

Kain’s fork fell from his hand as he got out of his chair and everyone else got up immediately.“That can’t be possible. The Ivy is the most secure place I know.”“I don’t know the details. Your mother sent someone to bring the news.”“She could have come herself!” Kain yelled angrily.“You know your mother. She would never run from battle.”“Where’s the messenger?” Kain asked as he approached Elias“At the door.”Kain moved quickly past his fat
Sora shut Z’s voice out of his head and ran till he reached the Ivy Hall. He sighted several soul eaters by the entrance but he knew they wouldn’t be an issue for him. As expected, they came for him and he was ready, completely filled with rage, Sora shot raw energy from his hands targeted at them and he watched as they burst into flames.Z and Kain were behind him in no time and they joined the fight as more soul eaters came. They fought together taking down the soul eaters till there was none left.Breathing heavily, Sora faced Z “Stay here.” But Sora knew Z wouldn’t listen so he faced Kain instead. “Keep her here.”Although Kain still had the same look of rage he had seen earlier, Sora knew he would keep Z in place, and inst
Kain lifted Z into his arms and ran out of the Ivy Hall leaving the fight behind. He ran in haste without looking back till he reached the infirmary. The doors were open already but Kain struggled to make it past the mages he met who were also struggling to get in.Once in, Kain yelled frantically “Help! I need help!”But the infirmary was in chaos. Healers and injured mages rushed in all directions and his cry for help was drowned in the madness happening around him. Everyone looked occupied but surveyed the room till his eyes landed on a Healer he saw walk out of a room and rushed to her immediately before she found a new person to work on.“She’s Tyddin’s daughter, please help her.”The Heale
“It is rather unfortunate that we have to meet under these circumstances. We are here to discuss two things, the attack on the Ivy last night and the cause and effect of the death—murder of Master Vorak.” Anaise looked around the room and sighed before continuing. “Also keep in mind that all the decisions we make here will affect the future of the Academy and Namrys moving forward, so we will make sure to address every issue with utmost caution.”There was a chilling silence in the room as questioning eyes moved from person to person and to the now empty seat of Vorak.“Are we sure Vorak was murdered? Amilyn snorted.Shar continued “The old man could easily have killed himself. Maybe he finally realised mages are not as capable
vKain watched from behind as Z folded the last of her shirts and placed them in a neat pile on the drawer beside the bed. As soon as she dropped the last shirt, she took a deep breath and buried her face in her palm. After a while she raised her head, staring at the headboard. She was happy but deep down she couldn’t help but notice the knots she felt in her guts as thoughts of Sora filled her mind.“I know you’re still worried about Sora.”Finally she turned her back and noticed Kain behind her. Z sighed as she moved further into the bed. “Don’t take this the wrong way but… I miss him.”Kain nodded and walked into the room to sit beside her. “I understand&rdquo
“What!” Four roared loudly as she got on her feet.“That’s impossible!” Three was already on his feet with one arm burning with flames.“I saw it with my own eyes. I saw him take Deimog down before I left.” The messenger replied. “He killed Deimog with his bare hands.”“First it was Zavok, now Deimog and Pheimog?” Then she faced Two snarling, “You must be grinning with pride since you created him.”However, Two remained calm in his seat. “I did not create him, I attacked and killed him. I bear no connection to anyone or anything that threatens the will of our master.”
It had been three days since he regained consciousness, since he woke up on Aridah’s floor and two days of trying relentlessly to get words out of her about Varnek, but every single time he asked, she avoided his questions by changing the topic. Her constant efforts to dismiss him only confirmed that she knew more than she was letting on which made him persist even though he was growing impatient. He grew frustrated when he tried training the next morning and realized how weak he had become. He was completely drained and could hardly lift a pin, but it got even worse when he realized he couldn’t jump either. Jumping was the only way he knew to move long distance which would make returning back to the Academy a little more difficult for him. When he asked Aridah how she moved to places, she told him she walked everyw
Kresha was a mess! A total mess, and Sora’s eyes went wide with shock as he took in Kresha. The streets were filled with people moving in different directions, never stopping for the human obstacles that bumped into them occasionally, but swirling around them. Sora had never been claustrophobic before, but from where they stood, the view of the almighty swell of people made panic rise in his chest but he did his best to remain calm.He could smell them too, the people and the thick fowl air, a jumble of fresh herbs and spices from the stand next to them, body odor from passersby and fermented alcohol. That was when the heat hit him and he suddenly didn’t seem to mind replacing his shirt with a more revealing one not minding the ramifications. It was as though his senses had been amplified to the highest frequency and everything sucked.
