CH. 180: REALIZED TOO LATE.

The bribed police officer remained on his knee, his heart racing furiously at the thought of the consequences he would suffer if he couldn’t give a reasonable excuse to his top superior. Yet, the more he tried to think of something reasonable to feed the head of this police station, the more he realized that there was no escape for him. He received that bribe from the Brown family, thinking William was just a rich kid with no family background to save him in times of trouble, and thus, he could get away with messing with William wantonly.
