Ayra was left stunned by her mother’s words. It was known among the family of three that Mrs. Brown was the most adept at recognizing the faces of those who worked in the mansion. As she is the woman of the house, she tends to keep track of everything and everyone moving about the mansion. Her retentive memory is her greatest strength and she rarely forgets faces. Therefore, if Mrs. Brown, of all people, is saying that she has never seen these three supposed housekeepers in the mansion, it could only mean that they had never appeared in the mansion before.
