CHAPTER EIGHTY-NINE: TROUBLE INSIDE THE ESTATE.

Woodruff frowned with deep shock. “What the heck is going on here?!”

The head of security kept his gun up as he took a few steps forward. “There are conditions you have to follow. One of them is that you must leave your cars outside the estate. You’ll be transported in a special vehicle toward the mansion.”

Donald let out a frustrated scoff. “Are you serious?” He felt like he had asked a dumb question, seeing as there were twenty security officers pointing guns at their heads. He let out a sigh before facing his father. “Dad, what do you think?”

Woodruff schooled his face to neutrality. He knew that the smartest action when in uncertain situations is to not give away any visible reaction.

Woodruff shrugged his shoulders. “Since we’re here, we might as well follow their rules.”
