100. A Tempting Offer

Ernest felt a strange sensation when Warrick called him 'Mr. Rauveron'. He should not have cared how Warrick called him.

But somehow, he felt like he had lost something precious just because Warrick had stopped calling him father.

"Remember what we're here for," Zayden whispered when he realized Ernest was acting strange.

Warrick invited his guests to sit on the sofa while he remained in his chair. He pointed out that they were just guests, and asking him to be nicer was inappropriate.

"As you can see," Warrick said, gesturing to the pile of files on his desk. "I'm busy with my work. You shouldn't have come here to say nonsense."

"We came here with good intentions," Zayden smiled to hide his annoyance.

"If you want to make a proposal for cooperation, just go home because I've received too many of those."

"This is more than a proposal."

Warrick raised his eyebrows. "Keep it short."

"We apologize for all our bad treatment." This time, Ernest did the talking. He had to be nice to Warrick
