14. A New Car

Miguel anxiously waited for Warrick's response. The man in front of him did not say a word, instead gazing into thin air.

Was Warrick unhappy with the new business lawyer? It made sense. Clients often preferred experienced attorneys.

"Sir, is there a problem?" Miguel mustered the courage to speak.

Warrick snapped back to reality. He had been surprised by the system window. More than he had anticipated, the Business Connections skill turned out to be very helpful.

He was initially skeptical of Miguel. New lawyers often worked with seniors to gain experience. Miguel seemed to have a poor relationship with his senior, but that did not matter as long as Miguel had good competence.

"Forgive me," Warrick said, offering a warm smile. "You probably already know who I am. Where should we talk?"
