73. Back to Bite

"Aaron manipulated my memories," Amos chose to explain his background. "He used a drug that messed with my mind and implanted false memories. That's why I think of Grace as a bad person."

Warrick had expected Aaron to brainwash Amos into hating his mother, so he was not surprised. "Do you believe my mom isn't a bad person now?"

"Yes. I went to the orphanage and found out that I was close to Grace. The effects of the drug made me unable to remember anything. But I believe she's not the person I thought she was."

Amos handed the letter he had been holding to Warrick. Guilt was evident in his gaze.

The trigger for Grace's death was Amos. That was an unchangeable fact. If Warrick got angry and threw him out, he promised he would not defend himself.

However, Warrick digested every word in the letter calmly. The Legendary Patient title really helped him. His emotions were more stable so he could understand the situation with a cool head.
